What is Yaz?
Yaz is a combined antibabypille of Bayer with the gestagen Drospirenon and a low dose of ethinylestradiol (0.02 mg). It differs from Yasmin by the lower estrogen dose and another intake scheme (24+4 instead of 21+7).
The 24+4 Schema (24 active tablets, 4 placebos) shortens the hormone-free time and can have advantages especially in PMS complaints (premenstrual syndrome).
