What is Condylox?
Condylox® contains the active ingredient Podophyllotoxin (0.5 %) and is used for the treatment of external genital warts (Condylomata acuminata, fig warts). Podophyllotoxin is a herbal active ingredient from the Maiapfel (Podophyllum peltatum), which inhibits cell division of the wart cells.
Unlike Aldara® (Imiquimod), Condylox® acts directly cytostatic (cell kill) and not via the immune system. The treatment takes place in cycles of 3 days application and 4 days pause.
